My lessons intuitively guide students along an easy to grasp but endlessly refine-able approach to riding waves. This approach quickly multiplies wave count, which multiplies progression speed, which multiplies the stoke!
Basic Progression:
1. Develop a solid 'Up and Riding' technique
2. Intro to reading the hidden language of wave energy
3. Developing 'The Perfect' and 'The Quickdraw' approaches to setting up a ride
4. Choices when riding the wave's face
5. Cutback: Divide to reunite

About Me
I was blessed to be born into a surfing family on the North Shore of Oahu, where I spent my childhood on the beach and in the waves everyday.

Legend of The Duke
Surfing on the East Coast was introduced right here in Rockaway Beach by the Father of the sport, Duke Kahanamoku, on his way back to Hawaii after winning gold at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. We're deeply lucky to have the legacy of his visit to help keep in mind the true roots of surfing that he embodied; Aloha, gratitude, and respect for the ocean and fellow surfers.
